Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Prince Albert District Office of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.

The accession includes, but is not limited to records relating to: administration, including conferences and staffing; band management, including membership, elections, and minutes of council; school buildings, including the Prince Albert Residential School; engineering services, including roads, radio stations, and physical planning of communities; handicrafts; agriculture; natural resources; placement of labour; education, including adult education, educational assistance, and band training; vehicles and transportation; welfare, including housing, foster home care, aged allowance, and the Work Opportunity program; leases; and annuities.

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
