Collection search - Leases, trust accounts, and financial records of the North Central District Office [textual record]

Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the North Central District Office of Indian and Northern Affairs and one of its predecessors, the Saskatchewan District Office.

The accession includes, but is not limited to records relating to: leases, including lease revenue and leases for the Nut Lake, John Smith, One Arrow, Muskeg Lake, Mistawasis, and Beardy and Okemasis bands; finance, including cancelled cheques, receipt vouchers, cheque requisitions, and bank deposit books; and trust accounts, including band audits, receipt vouchers and reserve general registers.

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
