Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the North Central District Office of Indian and Northern Affairs, and its predecessors. Predecessors include the Saskatoon District, Shellbrook District and Touchwood Agency. Records relate to the following bands: One Arrow, Mistawasis, Muskeg Lake, Nut Lake, Kinistino, James Smith, Duck Lake, Beardy's, John Smith, Moose Woods, Beardy and Okemasis, Pelican Lake, Sandy Lake, and Witchekan Lake.

The accession includes, but is not limited to records relating to: capital projects, including electricity, water supply, wells, housing, renovations, roads, schools, teachers' residences, playground equipment, and trap line improvements; band trust accounts and finances, including trust account statements, annuities, band budgets and authorities, cheque requisitions, band audits, and accounts payable; contracts; winter works projects; and Indian Status Card certificate applications.

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
