Accession consists of precedential aboriginal and property civil litigation records created and/or maintained by the B.C. Region of the Department of Justice.

The accession includes, but is not limited to civil litigation records relating to precedential cases involving the Burrard Indian Band, Nisga'a Nation, and the Pavilion Band. Issues include public land grants, transfer of airports to local airport authorities, legal opinions, financial transfer agreements. In addition, there are records pertaining to a legal challenge to the compulsory retirement age in the Canadian Forces. Also present are property files relating to the Musqueam Indian Reserve, the proposed Qualicum Wildlife Refuge, Skawahlook Indian Reserve, Hustalen Indian Reserve, Okanagan Indian Reserve, and the Squiaala Indian Reserve.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
