This accession consists of administrative and operational records created by the Cornwall office of the Ontario Region of Parks Canada. The files in the first six boxes contain files related to organization, legislation, committees, conferences, maps, charts, native treaties and rights, agreements, projects, public consultation, census of construction projects, and various subjects relating to the Rideau Canal. The other five boxes consist of records in the 4060 and 4065 file blocks. These records relate to construction projects and TIP Area Recapitalization plans for canals and parks across Ontario.

Accession was initially brought in under RG 108, Environment Canada. As this accession should properly be a part of the Parks Canada Agency sous-fonds, the Accession to Description has been altered to reflect this.
