Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Department of Justice. Some files are related to various committees or conferences in which the Department of Justice was a participant. Subjects include, but are not limited to: Family Courts, Unified Family Courts, International Court of Justice, Criminal Law review, Conference of Commissioners on Uniformity of Legislation in Canada, International Civil Aviation Organization, United Nations Convention on International Multimodal Transport, Interdepartmental Committee on External Relations and Human Rights. A few files are related to regulations (e.g. government property traffic regulations, immigration regulations), or to Indian claims (e.g. Ohiaht Indian Band and Okanagan Indian Band).
