General note:

Maps and site plans of various sizes, scales, and materials, but all focusing largely on settlements in the Northwest Territories

Custodial history:

The exact origin of these maps is not known, though based on markings, they were likely a part of the map library of the Geographical Branch while it was part of the Department of Mines and Technical Surveys (ca. 1949-1966).

Arrangement note:

Many of the maps have a number beginning with 625 written on them. It is unclear if that is a system internal to the Geographical Branch, or if it is part of the "old classification system" of the former National Map Collection.
