This accession consists of photographs created to document the Search and Rescue (SAR) aerial operations of the Canadian Forces. Subjects depicted include aerial views of search and rescue operations, aircraft ditchings or crashes,maritime emergencies, and other sites investigated by SAR aircraft. These photos appear to have been compiled into a single series but sourced from squadrons conducting SAR flights located across Canada, including 413, 440, and 442 Squadrons. A limited number of photos are ground views of some of the above topics.
