General note:

Canada's early space programme, Alouette, ISIS and upper atmosphere research, communications technology satellite, rocketry and ionosperic measurements, tactical satellite communications, large hybrid solar array panels, telemetry dish antenna hybrid computer, project "Wood Duck" (bird interference with radar), high frequency directional finding, sonobuoy trails, communications research centre construction and "open house displays" and miscellaneous films on space research.
CRC may use reference prints.

The Defence Resarch Telecommunications Establishment (DRTE) was renamed the Communications Research Centre (CRC) in 1969. Complimentary space programme material is shot listed in the Curtis R. "Scotty" Yool Collection (Defence Research Board DRB, Defence Research Establishment Ottawa DREO). See also Department of National Defence DND and Canadian Armament Research and Development Establishment CARDE, SPAR Division of the de Havillard Aircraft of Canada and the RCA Victor Company of Montreal. John E. Colbert of CRC was responsible for much of the film documentation.
