Fonds consists of annual reports, 1931-1978. These informal minutes include routine business procedures, descriptions of the activities of members, and reminiscences. Not all years are included. Correspondence, n.d., 1948, 1968; notices of meetings, 1931-1971; membership lists and obituaries, n.d., 1917-1918, 1931-1978, including a casualty list, 1917-1918, the original nominal roll, the "Last Posts" of 1948, 1968, 1970, "The Last Post Honour Roll", March 1978; memorabilia such as dinner menus and programmes, some annotations regarding the history of the battery, n.d., 1917-1976; press clippings, 1931-1968; roll call for annual meetings, 1931-1980.

Fonds also contains photographs depicting group pictures of personnel and activites of the 7th Canadian Siege Battery, C.E.F., France, 1914-1918.

Seventh Canadian Siege Battery Association : The battery was formed mainly from graduates and undergraduates at McGill University and MacDonald College in Montreal in the spring of 1916, and had a strength of 150 men. Its major engagements were Vimy Ridge, Lens, Hill 70, Passchendaele, Arras, Canal du Nord, Valenciennes and Mons, under the command first of Major W.D. Tait, and then Major T.E. Ryder. The No. 6 (McGill) Overseas Siege Battery was formed in April, 1916; the 271st (Canadian) Siege Battery in October, 1916; these were integrated into the No. 7 Canadian Siege Battery on January 2nd, 1917, with the addition from one section of the 10th Canadian Siege Battery in 1917.

The Association held its inaugural meeting in 1919, and carried out simultaneous reunions in Montreal and other Canadian centres annually until 1978.
