Collection consists of the following: a letter from Lord Aylmer to W.L. Marcy regarding the extradition of the fugitive Edward Hays, dated 25 October 1833; a letter from Major-General H.E. Macomb, Officer Commanding at New York, about an informer working for the United States along the Canadian frontier, dated 10 July 1838; a letter from W.L. Marcy to Col. N.S. Benton regarding legal proceedings against Robert Nelson and his desire to avoid anything which might result in "rekindling the patriot excitement", dated 6 September 1839; and a letter from some Boston merchants to Marcy, about the payment of expenses for the Reciprocity Treaty of 1854 with Great Britain, dated 31 March 1856.
