Fonds consists of a genealogy of the family of Joseph Field (1824-1903) who emigrated from Datchworth Parish, Hertforshire, England in 1845 and settled in Metcalfe Township, Middlesex County, Ontario, 42 pages. Included is a brief account of some of the family's English and Canadian connections named Pallett, Inns, Cook, Dawson, England, Ross, Middleton, Gardner and McGillvary, 4 pages; notes from the "Minute" Book of the Field family picnics held annually since 1927, 3 pages; and comprehensive index of names mentioned in the genealogy, 23 pages.
