Fonds consists of family papers of Andrew Bulger and his sons George Ernest Bulger and Lt. C.O. Bulger, 1810-1870. They record Andrew Bulger's services in the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, 1810-1815, and as Governor of Assiniboia, 1822; and the military careers of two of his sons.

The fonds also includes a contract between the Trustees of the Selkirk Estate and Charles Bouché for land, Rupert's Land, 1823. This item can be found in horizontal storage, container 9.

Bulger, Andrew H., 1789-1858 : Andrew Bulger, military officer and colonial administrator, joined the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in 1804 and saw service in Canada during the War of 1812 before retiring on half-pay in 1815. He served as Governor of Assiniboia, 1822-1823, and as examiner of accounts for the Commander of the Forces at Red River for thirty years.
