Fonds consists of "Account of Mackenzie River", written at Fort Enterprise, 26 February, by Willard Ferdinand Wentzel, 1826. He gives an account of his connection with the Mackenzie River Department and his views as to the best means of re-establishing the trade there. A map is included with the manuscript, 1 page.

Wentzel, Willard Ferdinand, d. 1832 : Willard Ferdinand Wentzel joined the North West Company in 1799, serving with it until union with the Hudson's Bay Company in 1821. He retired for a short period, 1825-1827, but returned to work until his death.
