The fonds consists of correspondence of various members of the Wallis family and their relations. Included are the letters of Charles John Forbes, 1815, 5 pages; Robert Miller Forbes, 1810-1841, 38 pages; Louisa Forbes Wallis, 1832-1851, 21 pages; Sarabella Pecco Powell, 1824-1851, 21 pages; and Elisabeth Powell Wainwright, 1826-1830. There is also a manuscript of Katherine E. Wallis' autobiography, "Before the West became the East", 1938-1954.

Wallis (family) : The Wallis family consists of various members including: Royal Navy Officer Robert Miller Forbes (1774-1846), son to Robert Forbes and brother to Elisabeth Forbes-Raguenean; Royal Navy Officer Charles John Forbes (1786-1862); Louisa Forbes Wallis (1817-1887), niece to Elisabeth Raguenean; Sarabella Pecco Powell (b.1820); Elisabeth Powell Wainwright (ca. 1810-1881); and internationally recognized artist, Katherine E. Wallis (1861-1957).
