Collection consists of transcripts of interviews, conducted by students working with Dr. Rea, dealing with Winnipeg politics from the 1920s to the 1940s.

Persons interviewed include: Marshall J. Gauvin, an atheist lecturer active in the city from 1926 to 1940; Michael Harris, the ethnic and labour reporter for the Winnipeg Free Press from 1929 to 1960; Chester King, a machinist active in the trade union movement and the unemployed organizations during the 1930s; Stanley Knowles, who sat on the municipal council from 1941 until he was elected to the House of Commons from Winnipeg North Center in 1942.

Also interviewed were Michael Koral, first National Secretary of the Ukrainian Youth Organization; Norman Penner, the son of Jacob Penner who was a Communist member of the Winnipeg City Council from 1933 to 1953; Mitch Sago, who was active in the Youth Section of the Ukrainain Labour-Farmer Temple Association, the Communist Party and the unemployed organizations of the 1930s; C.E. Simonite, city alderman from 1929 to the mid-1950s; and Fred Tipping, mayoralty candidate several times in the 1920s.

The collection was photocopied in 1973.
