Collection consists of clippings and correspondence largely pertaining to the resurgence of historical interest in Nellie McClung during the 1960s and 1970s; transcripts of tape-recorded interviews and a talk given by Mark McClung on his mother's life, and material relating to the CBC television program "Nellie McClung" aired January 1978; a "Biography on Nellie McClung", prepared by Ann Braden, 1977, and the book A Harvest Yet to Reap; A History of Prairie Women inscribed by one of the authors, Candace Savage.

The collection also contains 10 photographs of Nellie and Mark McClung, [ca. 1915], Kate Reid as Nellie McClung in a CBC television drama, 1978; and a copy of a photograph taken in 1947 of Nellie McClung.

The collection also includes sound recordings of: an episode of the CBC radio program, Between ourselves entitled The incredible Nellie McClung, 1974; an interview with Mark McClung about his mother, 1975; a speech by Mark McClung, 1975; and recollections by Dorothy Horton Claverly about her involvement in researching the history of Peace River County, women and their place in Canadian society.

McClung, Mark, 1911- : Mark McClung is the youngest son of Nellie McClung. A Rhodes Scholar, he joined the public service in 1946 after having served with naval intelligence during the Second World War. He has also been a staff member of the Glassco Commission on government organization and the Bird Commission on the status of women. Prior to retirement in 1976, he was a policy advisor on broadcasting and communications technology in the Department of the Secretary of State.
