Cullen, Felix : Soldier

Little is known about soldier Felix Cullen's personal life. His career however is moderately well documented. Cullen enlisted in the 51 Sault Rifles and his training and combat experience was with the 19th Canadian Infantry Battalion. Cullen's company was stationed in the St. Eloi area in France. Despite his military and combat training with the 19th Canadian Infantry Battalion, Cullen's major experience was in relieving or being relieved by companies of the 18th Canadian Infantry Battalion, or by other companies of the 19th.

In France, Cullen was a combatant in St. Eloi, the northwest section of the country. This area of St. Eloi was characterized by numerous Allied offensives. This in part accounts for Cullen's staggered battle experiences and for his frequent marches to numerous sectors of the front. It is also worth noting that Cullen suffered serious wounding and suffering from his battle accidents while fighting in St. Eloi. It is uncertain when Cullen died.
