Fonds consists of correspondence with the Office of the Custodian concerning money held in trust for Mrs. Tanaka's father, 1946-1975; extracts from a diary kept during the early phases of the Japanese evacuation from the "protected area" of British Columbia, 1942; an essay entitled "Discrimination and Prejudice" written for a sociology course at Loyola College, 1971.

Tanaka, June K, 1913-2012 : Mrs. June K. Tanaka, her husband, two young children, and her mother were evacuated in 1942 from Vancouver to Slocan. The family later moved to Kaslo, and in 1946 they joined Mr. Tanaka, who had preceded them to Montreal.
