Fonds consists of correspondence, reports, circulars, brochures and press clippings concerning Montague Raisman's involvement with the Canadian Jewish Congress, War Efforts Committee, the General Wingate Branch No. 256 Royal Canadian Legion, and the 219 (B'nai B'rith) Air Cadet Squadron during World War II.

Raisman, Montague, b. 1897 : Montague Raisman, insurance consultant, was born in 1897 at Leeds, Eng., the son of Harry and Rebecca Raisman. In 1926 he immigrated to Canada, settling in Alberta. In 1930 he moved to Toronto and entered the life insurance business.

During World War I Raisman served with the Royal Fusiliers and was awarded the Military Medal. During World War II he served as Co-Chairman of the Military Committee, Canadian Jewish Congress. He is a charter member and served as Adjutant of the General Wingate Branch, Royal Canadian Legion. He served as Commanding Officer of the 219 (B'nai B'rith) Air Cadet Squadron.
