Ottawa Reform Association : The Ottawa Reform Association, a branch of the Reform Association of Ontario, accepted its constitution and by-laws on 11 August 1873. Its object was the advocacy and support of liberal political principles by holding meetings and supporting appropriate candidates in elections. They also acted by scutinizing voter's lists, recruiting new members, giving supports to both County and Provincial Organizations and maintaining correspondence with the central body of political importance to make sure that their voice was heard in the forming of policy. It was governed by a President, a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a 4th Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and a 12 member executive who were all elected annually by the members.
