St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church (Kitchener, Ont.) : St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized in Berlin, Ont. (now Kitchener), in 1904. Services were conducted in the German language until 1919, when an English Sunday school was organized. English Sunday evening services were introduced in 1931, and German ceased to be used in church services and other church functions during the early years of World War II.

Over the years a number of voluntary organizations were established by the congregation, including the radio program Golden Hours (Kirche Daheim), 1906, and Lutheran World Action, 1946.
