Item is a photocopy of the diary kept by Mercy Ann Coles, which includes descriptions of travelling from Charlottetown to Quebec, the events connected with the Quebec Conference in 1864, and the return trip via Warren, Ohio and New York. The diary also includes a trip to Montreal and Quebec in August 1878, and a short boat trip on the S.S. Miramichi, 29 August - 2 September 1879. A photocopy of a transcript of the diary, containing some genealogical notes, covering the period 5 October - 4 November 1864 is also available.
