In 1818, he had petitioned for land in Perth so it is quite likely that he made his permanent residence there. He died at Pointe Claire, Lower Canada on 25 September 1830 at the age of 76.Additional information:General note:Petition and supporting documents, 1793-1826, received in 1923 from H.L.B. Ross.
