War Office 67 consists of 36 volumes of depot description books: nominal and descriptive rolls of non-commissioned officers and enlisted soldiers in regimental depots. They record physical descriptions of individual soldiers with their ages and places of birth, trades, promotions, and how they became non-effective. They are similar to the description books in WO 25, however, arrangement is by regimental number only. Sequential ordering is often broken. Included also are several variations of service registers detailing places of service, imprisonments, awards of good conduct medals and promotions. The National Archives has acquired microfilm selections of those rolls relating to Canada. The microfilmed originals are available on microfilm reels B-3661 to B-3663.
