Collection consists of a logbook kept by Alexander John Ballantyne while at sea, illustrated with drawings of ships at sea, charts executed in pen and ink, watercolours and one photograph, 1860-1865; and a letter from B. [Elizabeth] Ballantyne to her cousin, Jane [Roberton] concerning the preservation of her brother's holdings, 1891.
