Scoins, Clayton J : Clayton J. Scoins of East Pembroke, New York collected or copied a number of the diaries, letters and personal papers of individuals from New York State who participated in the Klondike Gold Rush.

General note:

Received in 1964-1965, a number of items from the Scoins Collection including the diaries, correspondence and miscellaneous documents of three members of what was known as the "Batavia Party": Alden R. Smith (d. 1921), John G. McJury and H.H. Scott. Also the diary of Charles P. Mosier (1881-1960) who was a member of the "Gillett Party" that went to the Klondike in 1898. The Albert C. Bower papers, which concern the "Byron-Caledonia party", were received in 1980 from Mr. Scoins.
