Edgar, William, fl. 1750-1812 : William Edgar (fl. 1750-1812) was engaged in the fur trade in the Detroit region. In partnership with Alexander and William McComb, he acted as a supplier to the British Army between 1779 and 1784. He spent his later years at New York, engaged in the China trade.
