The class FO 93, Protocols of Treaties, includes the originals of protocols as well as the letters of accreditation of the representatives and related material. The National Archives of Canada has acquired selections from Bundle 15 No. 2, France Definitive Treaty of Peace, St. Pierre and Miquelon fisheries. The excerpts consist of articles and counter-declarations from the Peace of Versailles relating to fisheries in Newfoundland, St. Pierre and Miquelon, and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The twelve pages of transcripts are available on microfilm reel C-12906.

Within the Foreign Office, a protocol is defined as a declaration of the terms or provisions of a treaty as agreed upon, signed, and sealed by the accredited representatives of the powers involved.
