Fonds consists of textual material in the form of correspondence, notes, manuscripts, newspaper clippings, newspapers, periodicals and other published material relating to the activities and interests of Olha Woycenko. They include records of Canadian Ukrainian delegates at the Paris Peace conference after the Second World War promoting the recognition of an independent Ukraine; papers of Petro H. Woycenko; portions of the papers of Leonid Biletsky, Rev. Wasyl Kudryk and Myroslaw Stechishin; letters from and articles by Mykhailo Hrushevsky, president of the Ukrainian National Republic (1917-1921) addressed to P.H. Woycenko, Editor, Ukrainian Voice, Winnipeg; and subject files, newsletters and other material relating to her career and organizational services in the Ukrainian Canadian community.

Also included in the fonds are philatellic records of postally-used covers addressed to Olha Woycenko bearing cancelled Canadian postage stamp, photographs of Olha Woycenko and her extended family, as well as a sound recording of an interview conducted by Olha Woycenko in 1977 with artist and architect, Peter Dobush.

Woycenko, Ol'ha, 1909- : Olha Woycenko was born in Winnipeg on 25 July 1909, the daughter of Ukrainian immigrant parents. After graduating from business college, she worked for the Ukrainian newspaper, Ukrainskyi Holos (The Ukrainian Voice). She later held various management and editorial positions with the newspaper. Her husband, Peter H. Woycenko, was manager of Ukrainskyi Holos for many years.

Olha Woycenko was very active in numerous ethnocultural, community and women's organizations holding executive positions at local, provincial and national levels. She is the author of several publications including the historical study, The Ukrainians in Canada (1967). She was also active in Ukrainian literary, academic and political organizations.

In 1976, she moved to Ottawa where she continued her research and writing on Ukrainian Canadian history and literature.
