Fonds consists of five letterbooks and journals regarding the operations of the Hudson's Bay Company, 1822-1835. The records consists mainly of the Hudson's Bay Company factor John Stuart's papers which include a Carlton journal, 1826-1829, a Fort Simpson journal, 1832-1835, an inventory at Fort St. James, 1822, and other miscellaneous letters. Authors of letters include, for example: John McLaughlin, John Clarke, Edward Smith, T.G. McTavish, Colin Robertson, Simon McGillivray, J.D. Cameron, and John Stuart. This material is located on microfilm reel A-1940.
