The series contains minutes, correspondence, and other records relating to the Social Science Federation of Canada's internal committees, annual meetings of the Learned Societies, and international conferences. The internal committees include the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Finance Sub-committee, Science Policy Committee, Membership Committee, and the Nominations Committee, among others. Other records relate to the SSFC's participation in or with organizations like the Human Environment Committee, the Canadian Association of University Teachers, UNESCO, and the International Social Science Council. The series also includes photographs of past presidents of the SSFC and the presentation of a plaque to representatives of the four founding associations.
