Included is early correspondence with friends and family, academic records and newspaper clippings relating to the Heeney family. There is correspondence from Arnold Heeney to various members of the family about his schooling, from St. John's College at the University of Manitoba to St. John's College at Oxford. There is also correspondence regarding his years in Montreal, ca. 1925 to 1938 and a few letters from the Privy Council Office. In addition, there are a few letters from friends serving in the military during World War I. There are also letters of condolence received by Mrs. Heeney on the death of Arnold Heeney.
Included in horizontal storage are: honorary degrees from the University of Manitoba and the University of British Columbia; certificates of appreciation and of acknowledgement of the awarding of the Vanier Medal; Quebec Bar diploma; and Letters Patent of appointment as Under-Secretary of State for External Affairs and King's Counsel.
