These photographs were found slipped between the pages of a copy of the "Second Annual Report of the Commission of Conservation of Canada" in the Statistics Canada Reference Library. The Librarians at Statistics Canada did not know the context of the photographs or why they were tucked in the report, so the photographs were sent to a Photo Archivist at the National Archives of Canada in an attempt to identify the subjects of the photographs. The Archivist was able to identify the likely subjects of four of the photographs. The Archivist suggested that the photographs remain at the National Archives of Canada for preservation purposes. There is no known relation between these photographs and the content of the "Annual Report of the Commission of Conservation of Canada."
