The surviving vouchers for expenditures form an incomplete series reflecting losses in the fire of 1849 and subsequently. Reconstruction of the original alpha-numeric sequences is contingent on availability of resources to investigate relationships between series C 4 and C 5 and the account books in series C 7. They record expenditures on sessional indemnities (for which see also series C 4), salaries of staff, pensions and insurance policies; stationery, postage, telegrams and printing; utilities and maintenance for the Parliament buildings and the Parliamentary Library.

The vouchers bear alpha-numeric designations reflecting a system of filing by category of expenditure. Reconstruction of the original sequence is planned.
