This file contains data collected during a survey for which a stratified random sample of 7,200 Old Age Security recipients was taken from the OAS/GIS files. The sample yielded 3,838 valid cases which were used for this survey. The objective of the survey was to: a) identify people who were aware of the New Horizons Program, b) establish how many were involved in the program, c) determine the activity patterns of the target population, d) determine if there is a perceived need for change in activity levels or patterns and to describe the desired change, and e) to establish who is prevented from increasing or changing activities & why.
