The series contains biographical material on William Lyon Mackenzie King, some letters and documents concerning his Estate, and personal correspondence with Mackenzie King and Gordon Robertson's father, John Gordon Robertson. The series includes a May 15, 1948 issue of the satirical newspaper "The Blot", Parliament Hill, primarily targeting William Lyon Mackenzie King. The series also contains dispatches to the Prime Minister, legislation, procedures regarding the opening of Parliament, royal style and titles, the Governor General and civil service regulations, speeches and letters by Louis St. Laurent, biographical material and comments on the biography of Louis-Saint-Laurent, written by Jack Pickersgill, documents concerning the memoirs of Lester B. Pearson, the movie based on his life and some comments on the role of Gordon Robertson in that movie, documents related to the Lester B. Pearson Centennial Symposium; some letters to Jean Lesage, biographical material on Pierre Elliot Trudeau and on his relations with Gordon Robertson, correspondence with Trudeau, programmes of Pierre Elliot Trudeau's visit to the Pacific Area in 1970, documents on the Igor Gouzenko case, a Soviet code clerk who defected in Ottawa in 1945. The series also contains miscellaneous material from the Prime Minister's Office including an immigration case, an External Affairs paper on Newfoundland, a paper on the establishment of Alberta and Saskatchewan as provinces, relations between the United States and the Soviet Union, the Niagara Falls Peace Bridge Commission, and legislation imposing the War Measures Act on U.I.C. personnel.

The series includes portraits of William Lyon Mackenzie King and Louis St. Laurent.
