Series consists of the Duckworth papers in the James Marshall and Marie-Louise OSBORN COLLECTION of Yale University's Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, which were microfilmed in 1985 and obtained by the National Archives of Canada through an exchange arrangement in 1986. The papers contain a large collection of documents ralating both to Duckworth's private and public life.

The bulk of the material comes from the latter part of Duckworth's life, 1793-1817, but there are a few items of earlier date, and a few later ones which derive from his Duckworth-King descendants. They are found in three main series.
