Series consists of photographic work, orders, commissions and correspondence with publishing companies, the media, various private businesses and individuals. The series includes photographic work from Roloff Beny's earliest assignments for Mayfair and Park East Magazines in the 1950s. Other commissions of articles and photographic work include; Alitalia, Air India, Bunte, Canadian Art, Chatelaine, Connaissance des Voyages, Cosmopolitan, Expo '67, Fair Lady, Farah: Shabanou of Iran (by Lesley Blanche), Fontana Paperbacks, Food And Wine Magazine, Harpers Bazaar, Harper's & Queen, International Daily News, Maclean's, National Geographic, Penguin Books, Queen Magazine, Reader's Digest, Réalités, La Revue des Voyages, The Sunday Times, This Week Magazine, Time Life Books, Toronto Life, Venture Magazine, Vogue.

The series also contains documentation on the commercial work commissioned by international companies, including the German publisher Fahrtenring, Air India and Swissair.

Also included are files titled "Work Sent Out" containing personal requests for photographs, which follow Beny's own arrangement.

Filed under "Books from Beny's Library" are photocopied pages from books found in Beny's library which were not retained by the National Archives but which contained examples of his commercial work (vols. 41-42).
