Sub-series documents the work of Roy Norton in the office of the Secretary of State for External Affairs (SSEA). Mr. Norton worked as a Policy Advisor in the office, circa 1984-1989. The files contain correspondence and memoranda to and from the SSEA. They cover a variety of issues both national and international which were of concern to the SSEA office, including, for example, education, immigration, international organizations, and terrorism in Canada. Issues of particular interest include, for example, Sikhs, Southeast Asia, Alberta and the Middle East.
