The records in this accession relate to the operation of the Post Office Mutual Benefit Association, and include such items as procedures for dealing with applicants, death claims, log books on members, death benefit documents, obituary clippings and departmental minute books for Mutual Benefit Association meetings (1886-1945).
Also included in this accession is a small holding of log books concerning payments made to mail contractors (1940s to 1950s), the Postmaster General's power to appoint postmasters (1927-1969), the National Postal Museum postage stamp collection (1970s), money orders, requisitions for Unemployment Insurance Stamps, the 1976 Olympic stamps on precious metals program, a 1966 list of Post Offices in Canada and information concerning rural routes (1956-1977).
