Royal Roads Military College. Office of the Faculty Council : The Faculty Council consisted of the Principal (as Chairman), Vice-Commandant, Deans, Heads of the academic departments, Staff Officer-Cadets and Military Training, the Chief Administrative Officer and the Registrar (Secretary). The Chief Librarian was also invited to attend its meetings. // The Faculty Council received and acted upon recommendations of the Faculty Board regarding cadets' grades and the eligibility of a cadet to repeat a year if necessary, in turn making recommendations on these matters to the Commandant; it also made recommendations to the Senate on the awarding of degrees and honorary degrees. In addition, the Council made recommendations for course changes and the introduction of new programmes of study, interpreted and enforced academic regulations, and made recommendations to the Principal on matters concerning the day-to-day operation of the academic wing of the College. The Faculty Council also made decisions concerning the terms and conditions of employment of University Teachers, but only after such matters were referred to the Faculty Board for full discussion.
