Series consists of central registry files created and/or maintained at St. Lawrence Islands National Park. These files describe the many activities of the St. Lawrence Islands National Park. Among others, they deal with tourism, search and rescue, Park planning and studies, the Warden Service, insect control, the employment and training of naturalists, fire protection, and recreation. These files also contain documentation on badges, ceremonies and celebrations, the Canadian Parks Service's Centennial activities, cooperation with various interest groups, and general park planning documents.

St. Lawrence Islands National Park (Canada) : St. Lawrence Islands National Park first began take shape when the nine islands in the St. Lawrence River, near Lake Ontario, were reserved for park purposes in 1904. Over time, other islands were gradually set aside for reserve. Under the administration of the Dominion Parks Branch in 1911, caretakers for many of the islands were hired, on a seasonal basis, and regular inspections by Parks Branch officials began. In 1914, the collection of twelve islands were officially designated as a national park by the Dominion Parks Branch. Since then a number of other islands have been added to the park as have a number of facilities for tourists.
