Sub-series consists of various drafts of unpublished and published novels, theatre scripts and other writing accumulated by Timothy Findley. A number of these, including manuscripts by Barry Callaghan and Janis Rapoport, were given to the author for his comment. Included is a draft of William Whitehead's story 'Small Victories' which is accompanied by comments from Findley. Among the theatre scripts is: a copy of Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker used by Findley in 1956 while acting in London; a copy of Shakespeare's Hamlet that appears to have been used by Sir Alec Guinness in 1953; and a theatre script for Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov adapted for stage by Guinness. (Both of these scripts were given to Findley by Guinness; Hamlet is inscribed. The script for The Brothers Karamazov contains a letter to Guinness from J.B. Priestly.)
