General note:

The objective of the Animal Health Division was to ensure a healthy livestock population by preventing the introduction into Canada of foreign animal diseases and eradicating or controlling diseases that already exist in Canada. In order to accomplish these goals, representatives from the Division visited domestic farms, stockyards, and other facilities throughout Canada to conduct inspections and tests and to take samples. This accession consists of reports of these inspections as well as statistics, broken down by province and by month.
