Series consists of administrative registry files from the Regional Operations Division, that date from the 1940s to 1970s. The files cover a wide range of topics, and include manuals, questionnaires, agendas, minutes of meetings, papers and reports, and more. There are general files as well as files relating to the taking of various surveys, including Canadian Travel Nutrition, Consumer Finance, the Agriculture Enumerative Survey, Employee Compensation Survey, Retail Trade Survey, Guaranteed Annual Income Project, etc.

Series also consists of operational records created and maintained by Statistics Canada's Edmonton Regional Office (records dating from 1981-1991) and Vancouver Office (records dating from 1973-1977).
