Each aperture card consists of a microfiche image held in a paper index card. In most cases each image is one page of the original register. The registers are also known as RG15 aperture card books 149 to 156.There are two copies of aperture cards for these registers. Sub-series includes Right of Way Land registers covering the period 1887 to 1936. Each entry gives the grant number, land description, area acquired from Homesteaders, area acquired from Dominion Government, fiat reference number, date of patent, liber, folio and remarks.Additional information:Source of title:Title is based on the contents of the sub-series.Custodial history:The aperture cards in this sub-series were created by a successor to the Department of the Interior sometime between 1948 and 1970. They were copied from original registers and ledgers and the originals were then destroyed. The aperture cards were then transferred to the National Archives in the early 1970s.
