Sub-series consists of two sets of aperture cards which are copies of original registers. Each aperture card consists of a microfiche image held in a paper index card. In most cases each image is one page of the original register. The registers are also known as RG15 aperture card books 251 to 253.

The registers consist of schedules of lands in parishes, town sites, and settlements in Manitoba, covering the period 1887 to 1930. These records are found in the following aperture card books: Schedules A to H of Parishes, Town sites and Settlements (Book No. 251); Schedules A to K of Lands in Manitoba, E.P.M. (Book No. 252); and Schedules A to N of Lands in Manitoba, W.P.M. (Book No. 253). Each entry in the schedule contains the land description, nature of grant, date of entry of grant number, entrant or patentee, date of patent, area, liber, folio, fiat number, disposition of under rights and remarks.

Title is based on the contents of the sub-series.

Custodial history:

The aperture cards in this sub-series were created by a successor to the Department of the Interior sometime between 1948 and 1970. They were copied from original registers and ledgers and the originals were then destroyed. The aperture cards were then transferred to the National Archives in the early 1970s.

RG15 Aperture Card books were available in the LAC reference room until January 2023.
