Included is a map of the route and detailed notes accompany each photograph.
According to an inscription at the beginning of the album, it was prepared by R.W. Hale (District Superintendent of the Postal Service) with C.H. (Punch) Dickins, District Superintendent, Canadian Airways; W.R. (Wop) May, Chief Pilot, Canadian Airways; C.Y. Becker, Managing Director of Commercial Airways; Louis Romanet; John Michaels and H.C. Neal.
Photographs were taken in the following locations: Fort McMurray; Fort Chipewyan; Fort Fitzgerald; Fort Smith; For Resolution; Hay River; Fort Providence; Fort Simpson; Fort Norman; Aklavik; Fort Rae; Camsell River; Great Bear Lake; Contact Lake Mine; Eldorado Mine; Herschel Island; and Coppermine.
