Scope and content:

Sub-series consists of general operational records created and/or maintained by the File Hills-Qu'Appelle Agency and its predecessors. The records in volumes 11513-11517, 11533-11535, and 11556-11557 pertain to the following bands under the File Hills-Qu'Appelle Agency: the Piapot, Pasqua, Muscowpetung, Carry-the-Kettle and Standing Buffalo Bands. These volumes contain a mixture of records including: subject files, paylists, farming accounts, natural resources, vital statistics and oil lease payments distribution. The records in volumes 1393-1394 were originally in Shannon File format. Included in those volumes are records relating to such subjects as the File Hills Boarding School; the settlement of Sioux estates; daily journals, monthly reports and correspondence from the Piapot reserve; annuities; agency employees and staff-related matters; correspondence, summary and monthly reports from the File Hills Colony Hospital; summary and monthly reports, correspondence regarding the File Hills Colony/Agency. Volume 1716 contains a paylist of interest money fro the Pasqua Band, 1908.
